„Model-Based Application of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Digital Ecosystems Case: Smart Energy Management Ecosystem“

Durchführung per Videokonferenz (Corona Situation)

Smart devices used in today’s digital ecosystems require a power source, mostly in a wireless context. Hence, the demand for battery packs grew considerably during the last few years. Therefore, researchers working on battery management systems propose different approaches on how to handle integrated power in systems as this is not a trivial thing. Appropriate services and management of batteries can improve their life-time a lot. For this reason, a collaboration of following three current topics in business informatics is planned: modeling, artificial intelligence and digital ecosystems. In more detail, a domain-specific modeling method for smart cyber-physical system environments, tested for a smart energy management system, is developed. Easy monitoring and provisioning of maintenance features for environment-friendly rechargeable battery packs should be provided by the implemented system. Furthermore, services for best user experience and knowledge management including decision support based on sensor data and artificial intelligence technologies are addressed. Key requirements for the integration of modeling language, digital ecosystems and artificial intelligence technologies are considered, as well as the most important energy domain-specific ones. All in all, this thesis focuses on a modeling method including artificial intelligence, accessing and operating on devices in digital ecosystems and all that applicable without being an expert for the technical details.
